In a significant milestone for our university, the Basseerah Lecture Series hosted its first online international lecture.

The event featured Dr. Abdel Rahman Mitib Altakhaineh from the University of Jordan, who has published more than 75 papers in international journals and is a well-known figure in the field of linguistics. Dr. Abdel’s lecture, titled “The Impact of Linguistics: Dr. Abdel’s Journey From Compound Nouns to Autism Spectrum Disorder,” provided insights into his significant contributions to the understanding of Arabic and English compound nouns. Dr. Abdel spoke passionately about his recent work on an assistive application for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, which is gaining recognition for addressing societal challenges related to special needs education.

The lecture drew a diverse audience, encompassing faculty from Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq, and ignited stimulating research discussions.

This event underscores EUB’s dedication to cultivating a research environment that prizes interdisciplinary research excellence and collaboration.
