What is the program duration at EUB?

IFP: The duration of study is 4 years with a foundation year.

Direct Entry: The duration is 3 years for students who have completed A Levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB).

What are the entry requirements for EUB?

Entry Requirements for Foundation Year:

Bahrain Standard Entry Qualification:

Applicants must have a 75% average or above in the General Secondary Education Certificate in years 10, 11, and 12, or possess equivalent qualifications.

English Language Proficiency:

Applicants must meet one of the following English language qualifications:

  • APTIS: Overall score of at least 140
  • IELTS: Overall band score of 5.5
  • Duolingo: Overall score of at least 95.
  • TOEFL: Overall score of 75
  • Oxford: Overall score of at least 111

Entry Requirements for Direct Entry (Year 2):

Entry Qualification:

Applicants must have completed one of the following:

  • A Levels 
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Foundation year certificate (for transfer students only)
Which English language proficiency tests are accepted at EUB?

Applicants must meet one of the following English language qualifications:

  • APTIS: overall score of a CEFR
  • IELTS: overall band of 6
  • Duolingo: overall score of at least 105
  • TOEFL: overall score of 87
  • Oxford English Test:  overall score of 111

EUB is recognised as a certified Oxford English Test Centre and students can take the exam on our campus.

Does EUB offer scholarships?

We offer a variety of partial scholarships to acknowledge and support students in different areas:

  • Academic Distinction Scholarship 25%

This scholarship will be awarded to students with a GPA of 85% or higher.

  • Athlete Scholarship 15%
  • E-Sport Scholarship 15%
  • Siblings Scholarship 15%
  • Early Admissions Scholarship 10%

Students may be eligible to receive more than one scholarship. However, scholarships are capped at a maximum of 30% in total per student.

What are the tuition fees for EUB?
  • Tuition Fees: 7,500 BHD per annum
  • Application Fee: 50 BHD (one-time fee and non-refundable)
  • Registration Fee: 250 BHD (one-time fee)
When do applications open for admission?

Admission is now open for the academic year 2024/2025. Applicants who are interested can apply directly through the website eub.edu.bh or visit us on campus. We are open Sunday-Thursday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

How will I know I have been accepted to EUB?

Once the application has been reviewed by the admissions team, applicants will receive their Admission Letter via email within 48 hours.

Applicants may be contacted during the process to provide further information (if required).

Can I transfer my credits to universities abroad?

Yes, students at EUB can transfer their credits to universities abroad, subject to receiving the university’s admission policies. We recommend that you research the specific requirements of the university you wish to transfer to and consult with our academics for guidance on the transfer process. Additionally, ensure that you have all necessary documentation, such as your transcripts and module descriptions, to facilitate a smooth transfer. 

Can I transfer from another university to EUB?

Yes. EUB is happy to consider and accept transfer students. Any student wishing to transfer to us should contact the Recruitment, Admissions and Registration office at EUB to discuss their specific situation. All student information will be analysed individually before any decisions are made.
