Dr. Abduljalil Zainail

Dr. Abdul Jalil Mahmoud Zainal is a visionary leader with extensive experience in environmental sciences and geospatial technology. He is the founder of Spatial Technology Solutions company, one of the first companies providing vehicle GPS telematics  solutions in Bahrain which started operations in 2010. Prior to that Dr Zainal was the founder and CEO of Geomatic, the comercial arm of Bahrain Centre for Studies & Research, which he succesfully transformed from a research entity into a commercial arm involved in a wide range of geospatial technology projects, from environmental to municipal and industrial applications. Dr. Zainal holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Remote Sensing from Imperial College London, an MSc in Environmental Pollution Control from the University of Leeds, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has numerous publications in the field of environmental remote sensing and supervised several MSc thesis projects both at the Arabian Gulf and Bahrain University. He has been recognised with the Crown Prince Award for scientific research, demonstrating his significant contributions to environmental research and technological innovation.
