The College of Law at the Euro University of Bahrain (EUB) delivers high-standard British legal education right in the heart of Manama. Through our strategic partnership with the prestigious University of London, the first to offer a degree in English law back in the 1890s, we deliver a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme, which is internationally regarded as the “gold standard”. The programme is developed by academics from six of the most important law schools in England, namely Queen Mary University of London, The London School of Economics and Political Science, UCL, King’s College London, SOAS, and Birkbeck, known collectively as the Laws Consortium, and is taught at EUB by faculty members with international teaching experience.

What are the standard entry requirements for the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme?
To be eligible for the programme, students should complete the International Foundation Year programme (IFP) or hold UK equivalent A’ levels or IB Diploma (direct entry).
 
When applying for direct entry into the LLB programme, applicants must have completed one of the following:
  • A Levels
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Foundation year certificate (for transfer students only)
What are the English language requirements?

For direct entry into the LLB programme, the following English proficiency tests are accepted provided they have been awarded within the three years before the date of the application:

  • APTIS: must achieve an overall CEFR score of at least B2 equivalent with at least B2 equivalent in each subcategory.
  • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English
  • City & Guilds International ESOL 8984 Mastery award
  • Duolingo: must achieve an overall score of at least 105.
  • (IELTS) International English Language Testing System: 6 overall, with 5.5 in each sub-test (Academic or General or IELTS Indicator Online Test).
  • English Language Test: 6 overall, with 5.5 in each sub-test.
  • Pearson Test of English, Academic: 54 overall, with 54 in Reading and Writing elements.
  • University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES): Business English Certificate, Level 3 only (BEC 3 award).
  • (TOEFL) iBT Test of English as a Foreign Language (including Special Home Edition test): 87 overall, with 21+ in Reading and Writing sub-tests and 19+ in Speaking and Listening sub-tests.
Do you accept transfer students?

Yes. EUB is happy to consider and accept transfer students. Any student wishing to transfer to us should contact the Recruitment, Admissions and Registration office via email at admissions@eub.edu.bh to discuss their specific situation. All student information will be analysed individually before any decisions are made.

How is the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme structured?

The LLB programme requires the completion of 12 modules, spread over three academic years. Each module is worth 30 credits (equivalent to 15 ECTS credits).
